QUOTE (About)Lockerz is the place to go to buy the coolest stuff at the lowest prices, watch exclusive video, discover new music, play the hottest games, hang out with your friends - and get rewarded for just about EVERYTHING you do on the site.

Our mission is to be your daily habit, not a site for your parents or grandparents looking for their long-lost friends from Kindergarten.

One other thing you'll love about Lockerz are PTZ (or "Pointz"). PTZ are Lockerz' proprietary loyalty "currency" that you earn whenever you buy, watch, play, share, invite friends, or even just show up on Lockerz. Redeem PTZ at the PTZ Place for incredible prizes, great products and dream experiences.

Too Good to Be True? Why are we doing this? To thank you for joining early. To build a Lockerz community of cool, stylish, cutting-edge people who love to buy great brands. To give you a taste of how PTZ will work when we go live this fall. And to test out different prizes and PTZ levels. That's key. This version of PTZ Place is a test. PTZ levels will change when the full Lockerz site launches.

Lockerz is set to launch sometime in the Fall 09. Members who sign up now will get to explore and help shape the site before the launch. We hope you'll join us.

QUOTE (FAQ)1. What is Lockerz? Lockerz is an invitation-only worldwide community where members can find entertainment, shopping and a full social network all on one website. Members are rewarded for almost everything they do on the site--whether it's buying a cool new brand, watching a video, playing a game, answering a daily question or even just logging in. At launch, Lockerz will have more than 15 ways for members to earn PTZ.

2. What types of products can be purchased at Lockerz? We’ve partnered with thousands of the best brands and stores to bring you the latest and greatest in every category – electronics, designer gear, stylish accessories, sports equipment and more. Members will soon be able to purchase digital assets such as music, videos, art, and decals.

3. What can you do with PTZ on Lockerz? PTZ can be used only on www.Lockerz.com right now for free prizes in PTZ Place, for entering amazing sweepstakes as many times as you want in the same contest, and for charity donations. After launch, PTZ may be used for amazing discounts on items for sale, free shipping, VIP experiences across the globe as well as free prizes and charity donations in PTZ Place.

4. Why is Lockerz giving away prizes at low levels on PTZ Place? We set PTZ very low to thank our earliest members for helping us build the site. Beginning December 1, PTZ values will increase by 4x on average although there will be many more ways to earn PTZ than ever before. Even with the PTZ increase, prizes will still be very attainable for the active Lockerz member.

5. What does “More Soon” mean? We are working to get you more products in PTZ Place because the overwhelming early response to Lockerz blew right through our inventory. We will re-stock PTZ Place on a periodic basis.

6. When is the next "restock" happening? Due to huge traffic issues from our last redemption, we are no longer pre-announcing re-stock dates. However, we can say that the next redemption event will be limited to Z-list members and will occur in November. There will be a general membership redemption before the end of November as well. We will announce redemptions on the morning of the event on the Lockerz Hallway only.

7. Does Lockerz ship internationally? Yes. Keep in mind that you will be responsible for any incoming taxes or duties into your country if your country does not deem a free prize as a gift. Check out this link to better understand what duties and taxes you might have to pay: http://fedex.com/us/international/irc/profiles/?link=2. If you are in Brazil, we are working to find a distribution partner to help us reduce or even eliminate any tax/duty penalties.

8. When will I get my shipment (i.e, Redeemed PTZ Place prize, Purchased Order, Z-List t-shirt)? Please allow two weeks for delivery in the U.S., 14-21 days outside of the U.S.

9. How many accounts can I have? Members are entitled to one account per person. Each person within a household can have their own account.

10. How will Lockerz make money? Starting later this fall, you will be able to purchase products at Lockerz. But don’t worry, PTZ Place will still be around, with way more prizes and experiences. Members will be able to earn PTZ every time they buy, watch, play, share, invite friends, or simply show up on Lockerz. PTZ will be redeemable for both products and experiences.

11. When will Lockerz launch? Lockerz is launching in stages. PTZ Place, Lockerz’ Prize Redemption Center, is now live. Other components will be launched soon. The complete site will be launched later this fall.

12. What kind of dog is Odyss? Thanks for asking! He’s a Norwich terrier.

QUOTE Halo goes anime with Legends anthology

Microsoft working with Ghost in the Shell, Dragon Ball studios on collection of short films; 343 Industries revealed to be Halo publishing brand.

Between this year's Halo Wars and Halo: ODST, Microsoft is working to establish a universe for its blockbuster sci-fi series extending significantly beyond the Master Chief character. Today the company revealed another step toward that, with the announcement of Halo Legends, an anime anthology focusing on different times, locations, and characters in the universe.

Master Chief has a great poker face, and a visor to match.

Like previous anime anthologies, The Animatrix and Batman: Gotham Knights, Halo Legends taps a variety of notable Japanese creators and animation studios to produce short films for a compiled home-video release. Directors Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed) and Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell) will be working on the project, as will familiar studios like Production I.G. (Blood: The Last Vampire), Studio4˚C (Tekkonkinkreet), Toei Animation (Dragon Ball), Casio Entertainment (visual effects work on Big Man Japan), and Bones (Cowboy Bebop: The Movie).

Unlike those other projects, Halo Legends will also help Microsoft usher in Halo Waypoint, "a new destination for Halo fans on Xbox Live."

Launching this fall, Waypoint will host previews of Halo Legends, podcasts, news, and trailers for various projects in the Halo universe. It will also introduce its own leaderboards and achievement-style system for Halo fans to mark their in-game and out-of-game feats.

Both Halo Legends and Halo Waypoint fall under the purview of 343 Industries, which is--as rumored--the name of Microsoft Game Studios' new label covering the franchise. In addition to games, 343 will oversee the creation of Halo books, clothing, collectibles, and other content stemming from the series. The group has drawn some notable names to its ranks, including former Kojima Productions producer Ryan Payton and Bungie alum Frank O'Connor.
